    Unanswered: Autonumber Problem

I have finished my database and now I have cleared all my test data out of the tables so it is ready for a fresh start. I have one problem though, my autonumber field will not start at 1 again, it remembers what number it used last in my test data. Is there any way to reset this number?

    Cheers

    Hi

Pop the below SQL into the SQL view of a new query and run (remember to change the name of the table and column of course):
    Code:
ALTER Table AutonumberTable ALTER AutonumberCol AUTOINCREMENT(1, 1)
    Testimonial:
    pootle flump
    ur codings are working excelent.

Another thing that works is to delete all the data from the tables and then Compact And Repair the database. The Compact will reset all the Autonumbers back to 1.
