    Unanswered: ASE Replicator initialization

    Hey all,

Im having problems initializing the distribution database.. I can run the aserep batch file with no problems and it creates all the table and procs.. The procs look a little bit strange though:

    CREATE PROCEDURE sp_resumerep
    as
    set nocount on
    declare @replite varchar(255)

    BEGIN -- proc body

select @replite = value from config where property = 'replite_server'

    exec (@replite + '...sp_resumerep ')

    END -- proc body

Does that look right to everyone??

This proc looks all right (although the execute immediate call doesn't seem necessary in this case.)
I've only played briefly with ASE Replicator a couple of years ago, though, so I don't really remember what the procs looked like.

    Thanks for your reply...

    I worked it out..

When you run the aserep batch file to initialize the distribution database, you need to create another server (not use the existing ASE server), say a REPL server or something and add it to dsedit as well..

    thanks mate
