I think ddlgen appeared in the 12.0 or 12.5 release. I don't know if ddlgen from 12.5 will work with 11.9.2, but you could always try it (download the 12.5 or 15 developper release and try using ddlgen from that install)

One alternative is to use dbschema.pl (see http://www.midsomer.org). Requires perl and sybperl, but works very well.

Download sybperl - either from CPAN, or from www.peppler.org/downloads

    Unpack (gunzip and tar xvf)

    cd sybperl-2.18
    perl Makefile.PL
... answer the questions about users, passwords, etc....
    make
    make test

If all is well at this point, you can run "make install" (requires root access)

You should also read up on perl and sybperl - you may want to start at http://www.peppler.org

The 12.5.3 ddlgen work on a 11.9.2 server

    $ ddlgen -Usa -Pxxxxxx -S172.10.10.161:4100 -TU -Nspt_values

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    -- DDL for Table'master.dbo.spt_values'
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    print 'Creating Table master.dbo.spt_values'
    go
    ...

You can also try the sp__rev... stored procs at http://www.edbarlow.com/gem/procs_only/index.htm Standalone Download

    Hi,

    install_driver(Sybase) failed: Can't locate DBD/Sybase.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /home/sybase/Desktop/procs/lib /home/sybase/lib /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.4/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.3/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.2/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.1/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.4 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.3 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.2 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.4/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.3/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.2/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.1/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.4 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.3 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.2 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.1 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl .) at (eval 1) line 3, <STDIN> line 3.
Perhaps the DBD:ybase perl module hasn't been fully installed,
or perhaps the capitalisation of 'Sybase' isn't right.
    Available drivers: ExampleP, Proxy, Sponge.

To e.g. install the rev* procedures
    Try this instead

    cd /home/sybase/Desktop/procs
    for fn in rev*.sql rev*.10
    do
    echo $fn
    isql -Usa -Ppw -Ssrv -i$fn
    done
