    Unanswered: altering schema name

    Hi All,

I just did a redirected restore using online backup image of the production database and restoring it to our test database on the test server. The restore went fine but the schema for the traget database is overwritten with the source database schema.

is it possible to alter the schema name on the target database back to what it was? Is there a command for this.

    ENV: Db2 v8.1 FP 7a, AIX

    Thanks

    Anks

Can you get away with defining aliases for each table, view? CREATE ALIAS TEST.TX for PROD.TX ; where TX is table name; Using tabname in syscat tables, you can create a sql to create multiple CREATE alias statements.
