    Unanswered: change a column of integers to negative

    I have a table of gps coordinates. the coordiantes are in the form xx.xxxx, yy.yyyy.
    whoever made this table up didnt' realize that their y coordiantes need a negative in front to denote western hemisphere.

    anyone know of a quick and dirty way to put a negative in front of about 1000 records?

    thx all.

    UPDATE SomeTable SET SomeColumn=SomeColumn *(-1);

    Is that down and dirty enough?
    Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...
