    On my environment variables, i did the ff:

    ORACLE_SID= orasvr1
    ORACLE_HOME=D:\oracle\ora92

    I also include the above settings on my registry.

    I did, start, run the ff:

    oradim -new -sid orasvr1 -intpwd oracle. My listener is up and my tnsnames.

    What caused the problem?? cause i'm getting error ora-12560?

    Thanks a lot.
    Ronald

    Not really sure what you are trying to show with the listener trace file. A copy of the actual listener.ora would be more beneficial.

    However, you want to make sure that the Windows service associated with the database is started when you try to make a connection to the database.

    Code:
    c:\> net start oracleserviceorasvr1

    when all else fails try reading the fine manual found at
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs...b14316/toc.htm
    You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
    The average person thinks he's above average!
    For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
    Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
