Unanswered: Problem with storing a string in procedure

    Hi

I have taken a varchar of length 4000 and storing a string value at runtime. but it is doing an unusual behaviour. it stores 200 lenght of string and then discard the rest data ... how can i fix this?

I'm willing to bet that it stored the "whole tamale", but you've set you client to only return the first 200 characters. Assuming that you are using SQL Query Analyzer, press Shift-Ctrl-o to bring up options, click the results tab, then change the control I've circled in the attached image.

Oh yeah, be forwarned that increasing this value can put a LOT of memory load on your result sets, severely handicapping performance.
