Unanswered: issue with importing paradox blob data

    Hello,

I have SQL Server 2000 and I'm trying to import data from a paradox v5 database. Everything has moved over fine but the data from the blob fields. When I use the import tool and try connect to a paradox blob field, the import wizard does not "see" the paradox blob field. here is and example.

If I have a table with the following fields.
    id char(20)
    description char(120)
    image blob

    the ms-sql import wizard sees
    id char(20)
    description char(20)

I find this very odd, but I do need a solution. Any Ideas?

    TY

import/export Paradox blob files into sql, other formats

The simple answer is "you can't". Paradox blob fields are stored differently than in any other database, and as far as I have discovered in many years of search, there is no way to extract them or export them aside from picking them out one by one. (There may be one effective software, but it is very, very expensive). Paradox being more or less dead in the water now, you can't expect for new products to be created. A pox on Corel. I am trapped in Paradox myself.

s/he did not. There is none. Which is why Paradox is dying. (one reason).
