Unanswered: setting up variables in Access

I am having trouble setting up variables.

I have set up the following to set focus on a field in a subform - but I also need to set variables to make it work.

    Forms!frm_PotentialCallEntries!sub_CallActivity_Po tential.SetFocus

    Forms!frm_PotentialCallEntries!Forms!sub_CallActiv ity_Potential.Form!CALL_DETAIL.SetFocus

Does anyone have any advice? Thanks!

    Hi

You don't need to set a variable to do this. To refer to a subform control:

If this doesn't do it please could you explain the big picture of what you are trying to do
