    Unanswered: Using Nvarchar and Nclob variables in EXECUTE IMMEDIATE statements

    Hi,

    Can we use Nvarchar and Nclob variables in EXECUTE IMMEDIATE statements

    var1 varchar(90);
    :::::::::::
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE var1; -- This is working fine

    var2 Nvarchar(90);
    :::::::::::
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE var2; -- This results in Error message

    Surprised one of them works. Actually, varchar is a sub-type of varchar2 (synom). Try using nvarchar2 for the second one.
