    Unanswered: Renaming files on HHD

    Hello there,
I am trying to rename files in folders using the shell command
but it doesn't recognisze that old DOS internal command.
Is there any other way to do that, but not using the Scripting.FileSystemObject
    Thanks

You could try a cunning combination of:
    Code:
    vba.FileSystem.FileCopy

    and
    Code:
    vba.FileSystem.Kill

Thank you for your answer. I found the command, it is called name
Here is an Example from the Office Help
    PHP Code:
dim OldName As stringNeuName as String
       OldName
    "C:\VERZ1\DATEIALT"NeuNname "C:\VERZ2\DATEINEU"

Name AlterName As Neuername  ' File will be moved and renamed
I wouldnt like to use the FSO, beacuse in my code, I used it to collect the files and stored them in a Table,
now through a RecordSet I could rename them using this command

    Thanks again
