Unhappy Unanswered: Value of a Subform with no data?

Ok i am all of a sudden feeling like a moron. I am trying to return a value which is derrived from dividing an annualized salary by an average of salary data. The annualized salary is contained in the form itself and the average salary data is contained in a subform.

What is happening is that I get "#Error" when there is no data in the subform (e.g., there is no market data). For some reason I can't figure out the IIF statement that basically says "ignore this calculation if there is nothing to divide by in the subform". The value is not null, but for the life of me I can't think of another way of doing it.

    Can any one help?

    sigh, nope, doesnt work

Hi there, thanks for the tip but it doesnt work because there is absolutely no related record in the subform. The subform contains absolutely nothing. No field names, nothing, when there is no related record.
