Unanswered: Running MS Access with Command Line parameters

    Hi,

Is there any advantages or disadvantages of running MS Access with command line parameters to open the database (in a multi-user environment)?

    For example a shortcut containing: C:\Program Files\MS Office\OFFICE11\MSACCESS.EXE S:\Databases\MYMDB.MDB

    vs a shortcut containing

    S:\DATABASES\MYMDB.MDB

    Thanks

Thanks for the reply. So it would be quicker to load over a network by using the 2nd option?

Split the database Put the Screen Local and the Data on the server

Network Traffic Cut down Heaps Work Faster Bigger Database

DownSide Have to go to each Local to put Sceen Version on

But Have a Front End and a Back Is the Bast way to go
    hope this help
