    Question Unanswered: Oracle Audit

    hello all ,

    i am implementing an audit on select and update and i want to know , what username , from which PC , and what application ( forms, Toad , sqlplus ..) is being used ?

    how do do that ? i will use fine gained audit ?

    i am using oracle 10g .

    Look at view dba_common_audit_trail, which provides a combination of aud$ and fga_log$. Also, look at aud$ and fga_log$ separately to be sure. I don't see anything that captures "client application" information, even when using fga and when audit_trail is set to strongest level "db_extended".

    The data is captured in the listener log, and in the session views like v$session and v$active_session_history.
