    Unanswered: SQL 2000 database connection problem

    I have installed windows 2000 with service pack 4 and SQL 2000 server with service pack 2 on the same machine. Connection the sql server using windows authentication. Able to open SQL enterprise manager and query analyser using windows authentication. But if try to connect thru ASP page using the following connection string.

    set conn=server.createobject("ADODB.Connection")

    cs="Provider=SQLOLEDB;Persist security info=False; user id=sa; password=; Initial Catalog=TESTING;Data source=TEST;" cs

    The following error message is displayed.

    Microsoft OLEDB Provider for SQL Server (80004005) [DBNETLIB] Connection open(Connect()).] SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

    Do i have change any settings or change the connection string.

    Can any one suggest me what to do?.

    Thanks in advance

    You need to set up SQL Server 2K from Windows authentication to Both.
