    Unanswered: Macro to automatically update a linked excel table

    Does anybody know of a macro that would automatically update my linked excel table without having to go into tools etc????

    I'm a bit stuck and its the last part of my database that needs to work so I'd be very grateful in anybody could help!

    Are you updating specific cells, appending records, adding worksheets, a combination of the above, or something else entirely?

    I'm updating the entire table.
    I have a table in excel which is linked to access, the excel table is being changed and I need to see these changes in my database.
    At the moment, I'm just using Tools>Database Utilities>Linked table manager
    and then selecting the tables to be updated

    Updating

    Here's some code for updating SQL Server Linked tables. Maybe there's something in it you can use for excel.

    I tried downloading the file at home and had to unblock it in the properties after unzipping it. I hope you didn't have the same problems.
