Unanswered: record lock won't allow row deletion

I have a MS Access application that tries to delete all of the rows in a particular table each time a module is run. However, an error appears while attempting to run the delete query which indicates a record is locked by another user. However, there is no other user using the app. If I try to delete all the rows manually, I get the same error. If I delete all of the rows a few at a time, then I am able to delete all of the rows and proceed with the rest of the module. Any thoughts? Thanks
