    Unanswered: Oracle starting point - guidance need

    hi good day , i'm new to oracle but have basic knowledge on SQL, i need some guidance from expert here to master oracle, what are the tools that normally oracle use(ie:query analyzer), also, please suggest some website for reference ,

    You need these tools:
    1. Oracle XE (express free edition)
    2. a command-line tool called sql*plus that is bundled together with #1.
    You should read these books: (find them on http://tahiti.oracle.com)
    1. Oracle Concepts
    2. Administration Guide
    3. Backup/Recovery manual
    4. SQL Reference
    5. PL/SQL Reference and user guide.
    Also watch these resources:
    1. Asktom
    2. dbforums (of Course!)
