On Unix on i can run the following command

    backup db dbname to /dev/null

I want to issue a backup to get the DB out of Backup pending state but i dont want it to take any disk space.

    I believe it should be:

    backup DB dbname to NUL

On Windows /dev/null equal is nul:
    So commad should be:
    Code:
     backup DB dbname to nul:
By the way. I also use "import from nul: of del replace into schema.table_name" to empty table without db2 loging. Very useful.

    Hope this helps,
