    Unanswered: select statement in whereclause?

I have a problem with a simple database. I want to build a query but in the where clause of the query I need to pick up some information from a certain cell in a different table.

Currently I have written the following in the where clause of the query:

    (select [entity] from [tbl_internal_values] )

this sql statement will (when run in a separate query) return the the following: <> " 6001" and <> "5201" which is the actual where clause I want to have in the query.

This however does not work. Is there any way I can get this to work? I know it is possible to use SQL statements in the whereclause of a query but I have never tried it in this way.

isn't that a where in a clause you're looking for?

Select MemberID, mebername From Mebres where MemberId in (select MemberId from FormerMebers)
