Unanswered: How to Flag the Duplicate Records in MS-ACESS Table

    Hello Admin and Team,

please guide me for the following issue.

i have a table which has many duplicate records.
    the table contains 9 columns.

i want to add the 10th column which will contain a value "Duplicated <record number>" (the record number that has the duplicated value)

    the conditions are below

if 1st column value, 3rd column value, 6th column value
    7th, 8th & 9th column values are equal then 10th column should contain "Duplicated <record number>"

the comparision has to be like
    "1st record with 2nd record
    2nd record with 3rd record
3rd record with 4th record.. etc.."

i want to accomplish it using a subroutine (in a module)

    please advise me

    regards,
    pradyumna

How do you propose to order the records? If you have say 10 identical records which 1 is the 1st? Is there anything in the other columns that distinguishes an order? Otherwise, it's a crap shoot as to which record becomes "1st" and all the others become "Duplicates" ...

    am not comparing those columns

    please advise me

Maybe you want to elaborate on your mysterious distinguishing columns?
