    Unanswered: Eliminate Some Records from Report

    I am using the following as a control source for a text box in the detail section of a report.

    =IIf([AVAILABLE]<[MINIMUM INVENTORY],"Need to Order"," ")

    But I do not want to print the records that do not need to be ordered.

    something like this, but I know it is not correct syntax

    =IIf([AVAILABLE]<[MINIMUM INVENTORY],"Need to Order","do not print record ")

    In that section put:

    If Textbox="" then ' Or whatever other sentinel value you use ...
    Cancel=1
    exit sub
    endif
    Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...

    Is there a reason you still need those records to be present in the datasource at all? Why not cull them out with a query?
    oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.

    Yeah, Teddy, I think I will have to use another query.

    I thought I would be able to remove them via the IIf in the text box on the report but had no luck with it..
