Hi,

I'm facing a scenario where there are lots of db2sysc process running on my unix server and this inturn uses all the available free memory and causes out of memory exceptions in other applications running on that server.

Db2 version is 8.1 and O/S is Solaris 8. Server has 4GB of physical memory.

I've only 3 databases of which 2 are used by IBM message broker and there is one application database which has 8 tables and is used very sparingly.

At any given instant, I can see around 60-70 db2sysc process consuming around 75M each.
I could see the following messages in syslog.

genunix: [ID 470503 kern.warning] WARNING: Sorry, no swap space to grow stack for pid 3551 (db2fm)
last message repeated 5 times
genunix: [ID 470503 kern.warning] WARNING: Sorry, no swap space to grow stack for pid 5355 (db2fm)
last message repeated 5 times
genunix: [ID 470503 kern.warning] WARNING: Sorry, no swap space to grow stack for pid 6568 (db2sysc)

Is there any I could reduce this number of processes?

Thanks
Yadu
