    Unanswered: Informix 7.24 FC6 Fast Recovery (CKPT REQ)

    Dear All,

    Our unix machine crashed and after that our informix is not coming to Online mode.

    It stays in "Fast Recovery (CKPT REQ)"

    Checked the DBSPACES etc and all looks to be up.

    Any ideas what could be wrong ?

    You have hit a bug. I would contact technical support. Also, I would upgrade to 7.31, it is much more stable.

    Hello All,

    I have updated with all the logs here.
    I would really appreciate for any help.

    FYI: This DB server was built in 1999 and never had any issues until now.
    It was used heavily until last year but since last one year this server ]
    is used very sparingly.

    try to bring the instance down..gracefullly ...onmode -ky
    if that does not bring down the instance..then kill the master oninit process
    then try to bring the instance up again... onint

    Even re-booted the machine that did not help.
