    Unanswered: active log file number

    Is there anyway to find the active log other than "fist active" in system catalog tables ?
    TIA

    Please specify DB2 version and OS.

    Under DB2 8.x for LUW, you can use the GET DB CFG command.

    db2 8.2 OS AIX 5.2

    What we are looking for is some system tables we can query if those tables are keeping track of active/archive log file numbers.

    As far as I know, there is no table in the catalog that contains this. Since you are on 8.2, you can do this:

    CALL SYSPROC.GET_DB_CONFIG()
    SELECT LOGHEAD from SESSION.DB_CONFIG FETCH FIRST 1 ROW ONLY
