    Unanswered: Data Type that Accepts > 255 Chars (was "A simple problem")

    I tried to put couple of sentences in a table that I created. But it wont take it. I made a text field with char size to 255.... ( silly question)..
    please tell me how I can add more sentences in a table.....

    If, by "it wont take it" you're saying your sentences come to more than 255 characters, you need to go to Design View for your table and change the field from Text to Memo. This will give you approximately 65k characters. Note, however, that many means of manipulating text fields are not available for memo fields. They really are just meant for entering notes/memos/narratives.
