    Talking Unanswered: vbasic 6 and chart

    hi
    please i need ya guys to help me with dis problem.
    i created a database and i want to link the database (MS Access) with the chart facility in Visual basic 6.
    how do i go about it thanks

    Two tasks.

    1: retrieve data from the Access database into an ADO recordset

    2: Display the data from the recordset on the mschart control

    for the first, ref this ADO Tutorial.

    For the second: check out this thread to get you started.

    MSChart is an non-redistributable activeX control that comes with office and is used by office for displaying charts. You can use it from VB.
