    Unanswered: das / db2iset

    AIX 5.3
    DB2 8.2

    /usr/opt/db2_08_01/instance #./dascrt -u db2sa
    DBI1765W A non-existing user ID, db2ert, has been detected
    from the registry.

    Explanation:

The registry is containing a non-existing user ID. This can be
caused by just removing the instance user ID without first
dropping the instance. This will not affect the normal operation
of DB2, but it is recommended to remove this obsolete user ID
from the instance list in the registry.

    User Response:

To remove this user ID from the registry with the command:
    db2iset -d db2ert

SQL4406W The DB2 Administration Server was started successfully.
    DBI1070I Program dascrt completed successfully.

    /usr/opt/db2_08_01/instance #./db2iset -d db2ert
exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program ./db2iset because of the following errors:
0509-150 Dependent module /usr/opt/db2_08_01/lib64/libdb2osse.a(shr.o) could not be loaded.
0509-152 Member shr.o is not found in archive

    ANY SUGGESTIONS?
    THANKS!

Yes. I did not include my dasdrop statement in my first message, but I did do just that, and I executed dascrt as root as well.

Any new insight on this? Not critical, but irritating.
    Thanks.
