Unanswered: Wildcard query options using text boxes

Please assist me. I have five (5) text boxes representing 5 different fields on one table. Users want to be able to use one, three or all of these fields to enter their selection criteria to pull data off the table. I need to be able to determine which fields data has been entered and only query with those fields. I know how to determine if data has been entered in each field but I am at a standstill with determining how to cleanly query using ONLY the entered fields.

Any assistance would be very helpful. Thanks you.

    Wildcard options

    This is VB6?
    If len(text1.text) >0 then strSQL=strSQL & text1.text
    for all fields

Is this what you are asking?

    wildcard options

Or create a matrix of fields
    for intA=0 to 4
    if len(text1(inta).text) > 0 then strSQL=strSQL & text1(intA).text & " "
    next
    Is this it ?

Yes, that's it! Thanks for your time. I like the matrix better, it's much cleaner. I guess I had mental shutdown.
