    choosing a free db

hi there. Can anyone comment on options between free db for a midsize application that will need to support up to 30 users?
Looking at SQL express - we are a microsoft shop. We are currently using vs 2003 and are getting ready to move to vs 2005... so it has to play well with both IDEs.
Wondering what else i should be looking at

    thanks.

oh, if you are currently using sql server 2003 and getting ready to move to sql server 2005, then you should at least have a look at mysql, postgresql, and firebird
