    What is a Knowledge Management System?

    hello,

    i think knowledge managment is a very interesting topic now a days... n we should start a forum for this topic...

    i m in need to build a knowledge managment system, so i ll like anyone, who can help me, to plz explain me about knowledge managment system i.e. what is knowledge managment system? why we use it? how it is designed? how it is useful for us? etc...

    sounds like its some form of AI /neural network... something that (I think) us beyond the scope of this forum, although the storage and retireval of the knowledge may be relevant the rules and mechanisms of association are going to be way off field
    I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton

    Knowledge Management Systems are interesting beasties, but they're really more of an application development issue than a database or storage issue.

    What sort of KMS are you planning to build? What do you want it to do for you and/or your organization?

    actually i av a company of my own...
    heard about KMS... n want to make KMS for it...

    but i dont know wat it is? so i need help of u ppl...

    I think it would be more valuable to create a spelling and grammar checker system first, and then move on to "knowledge".
    If it's not practically useful, then it's practically useless.
