    Unanswered: Re: Call Shell error

    I have an access form that has a button with the following 2 lines in its event handler:

    stAppName = "C:\g11DB\bin\Release\g11DB.exe"
    Call Shell(stAppName, 1)

    However, as soon as the Call statement is executed I get the following error:
    "Connection failed...not not find file '\\Main\DFSRoot\MyContactsDB.mdb'

    g11DB is a C# application I made. If I replace it with say calc or explorer, the call executes without this error. I had a look at the file MyContactsDB.mdb and it is indeed missing in the path mentioned in the error. What I am confused with is that why it is looking for this file in the first place when I couldn't find it in the access code.

    Thanks for any help...

    As in does g11DB.exe perform some function and then attempt to open the db?
    Hope this helps!

    What happens if you Run the .exe from the Start Menu? Do you get the same error?

    Thanks guys. I resolved the error and it was actually coming from the c# app. It is indirectly caused by the access code however, since it is going to my network directory first before executing the parameter in the call shell.

    cheers!
