Unanswered: Conflict between opmn and starting listener

I have a 10g db and 10g bi application server installed on the same machine. When I go to start the listener after everything is up, something is spawning a lot of tcp connections such as these ...
    tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:7353 127.0.0.1:6101 TIME_WAIT
    tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:7350 127.0.0.1:6101 TIME_WAIT
    tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:7351 127.0.0.1:6101 TIME_WAIT

if I stop either the listener or opmn , they go away and things return to normal.... Any ideas

    Thanks

Try starting the listener BEFORE opmn.

    opmn & Listener

I tried both ways.. still nothing... got it to work by changing the opmn.xml and ons.conf ports, not sure why there was a conflict.....
