    Unanswered: Combo Boxes and Autonumbers

I guess I just don't get it. I've got a table with an AutoNumber as the primary key. I want to create a form which allows the user to edit the information in the individual records. I want them to be able to select the active record through a Combo Box instead of finding the record by using the navigation bar but Access keeps giving me an error message the control can't be bound to an AutoNumber field when I set up the Form. The Combo Box displays the list corectly but won't change the rest of the information in the form.

When you use the wizard, it's the third option "Find a record on my form...". Using that, the combo is not bound -> nothing in the controlsource of the combo. There's a bit of wizard created code in the After Update event of the control.

I suggest recreating the combo using the third option of the wizard.

Thanks. If you heard a banging sound that was my head against my desk for not reading the Wizard form the 10,000 times I've seen it.
