The only way I know of doing this is with a COM Component or in ASP.Net. Would be a real pain to do in regular ASP.

    1. load as binary
    2. uncompress in mem to BMP
    3. Add text (Font Bitmask + AND?, scaling?)
    4. recompress to Jpg
    5. Save as binary

I know nothing about how the Jpg compression routines work so can't really help there. Pretty sure I've used FSO and RS.GetChunk or similar to save posted binary files before though in lieu of an uploading component, may be able to find some code if needed.
