Unanswered: How do I remove results of one query from another?

In Oracle SQL I would use 'NOT IN' as a test between 2 sets. The access SQL query builder won't recognise this syntax though.

    Any advice?

    Thanks.

Tyr it in a subquery, as in

SELECT tbl1.fieldname FROM tbl1 WHERE tbl1.fieldname Not In (SELECT SimilarData FROM SomeOtherTable.....)

    Hope this helps,

It looks like subquery is the way to do it, but I swear I tried that before and it wouldn't accept 'not in' then either. Thanks for the response there.

Access makes my want to gouge my own eyes out.

There, there, Access isn't all that bad. Although not all of us who've been using Access as our development tool have all our hair, due to much pulling out of same, certainly some of us do...
