Question Unanswered: Is it possible to see BLOB content in CLP?

    Hi there,

I have a blob which only contains XML strings, so I wonder is there any way I can see the BLOB content( First 200 chars is enough) in CLP.

    Mine is DB2 v8.2

    Thanks,
    Jinse

    blob

so why was blob and not clob used - if keeping regular readable data
    blob is for objects -(gif,pdf...)
clob can be displayed just by select * from table

Unfortunately, I am not the one who decide data types, and have to live with BLOB.

So there is no way to see BLOB in select query?

    Hi guyprzytula,

May I know how to store the CLOB data type in DB2 UDB v7.1 onward?
Can I use insert into statement as usual?

    Thanks,
