    ummmm?

my legal team has permitted me to offer you limited non-denominational greetings (no purchase required) which you may accept at any time during the validity period.

VALIDITY: these greetings expire 30 days from date of issue.

WARRANTY: these greetings come with a limited warranty of 30 days: at my choice defective greetings will be repaired or replaced by new greetings. you bear the cost of returning the defective greetings (void where prohibited by law).

CONFIDENTIALITY: if you are not an authorised recipient of these greetings, consider yourself not greeted and destroy your harddisk violently (caution: your harddisk contains small parts - not suitable for young children)

have a happy time doing whatever makes you happy in the coming week or so - for me it's a couple (liar) of glasses of red and implementing some heavy hardware firewalling + WLAN security + VPN on a couple of domains that fall under my mouse - but i have heard that some folk prefer to eat too much & watch TV during this period.

From what I understand, 3xM2M scenarios ALWAYS cause more trouble then they're worth...

    Happy RhamaHanaKwanzMas!

That should cover everyone - except for druids celebrating Solstice.

    Wonderful Whatever!

For those of you not offended by phrases that could be interpreted by the legal minded as potentially having religious overtones, Happy Holidays! For those folks (who would be offended by almost anything that I might say), please ignore this paragraph completely, but I still wish them a Wonderful Whatever!

lawyers are for wussies. Ramadan is over. During which I wished my Muslim friends a solemn Ramadan. Kwanzaa, or as I believe it is called the festival of lights, is usually after Christmas. My ex emailed me and told be about the Chanukah starting last Friday, so yes, happy Chanukah. Finally, although I much more appreciate the idea of Christmas than the practice of it, and since Christmas starts after Labor Day, Merry Christmas. Oh and since winter officially starts today and I do have a friend who was raised in Wicca, happy winter solstice.
“If one brings so much courage to this world the world has to kill them or break them, so of course it kills them. The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.” Earnest Hemingway, A Farewell To Arms.

hey, it isn't just druids and wiccas who celebrate the winter solstice

solstice is my "festive season" too

as for the saints, pretty much assured a postseason spot, they must play at the g-men, who will be dangerous (lose and they're done)

sorry Brett but I would pick the Saints over the Giants.

    declare @YouAre varchar(50)

    select Greetings =
    case @YouAre
when 'Christian' then 'Merry Christmas' -- 12/25/06
when 'Jewish' then 'Happy Hanukah' -- starts 12/15/06
when 'Muslim' then 'Happy Eid ul-Adha' -- 12/30/06
when 'Atheist' then 'When you die nothing happens! no heaven! .. no hell!'
    else 'Happy Whatever!'
    end
