    Unanswered: Save filtered data

I have a query that filters out a lot of data that is linked to a different database. How can I save the filtered data into a table? When I run reports, I do not want it to loop trough the entire database.

    Thank you

    how about

using a make table query with the results?
Not sure if that is what you are looking for.
Or, if you want running total, make the table and use an append query to add to the exisiting.

The best method for getting data from access to excel is to have excel pull the data from a query

Q: There is no way of doing an export/save as new table?

A: Use a Make Table Query. This will export your query results into a new table.

Q:Also, I want to export data from a query into excel. How?

A: Make a macro and use OutputTo. Then just choose the appropriate conditions at the bottom.
