Unanswered: DB2 Connection Problem from Shortcut ( Error Message )
First off all , i would like to apologize that i 've opened tihs thread but ,
i could not found any matches in forums about my problem .
i have a database on windows server 2000 ( db2 version 7.1 )
and a system works on it .
in clients , i can connect to the database with user name and password
the Server is up , the DB is up
but when i want to start the program from shortcut i received an error message
the database not available Error [IBM][CLI Driver]SQL1403N The Username and or password supplied is incorrect .
What can it be the reason of my problem ? The last day before , is the virus program updated in server ? can it be the reason ?
i would thank a lot for your help in advance
can you post the batch file (shortcut) you are executing? What is your operating system and version, what is your db2 version and fixpack level?
Assuming you are using Windows:
1. create file run.bat and store into this file following text:
db2cmd /i /c file.bat
2. create file.bat and store into this file all db2 commands:
db2 connect to database user username using password
db2 select * from ... what ever command you wish to execute
db2 connect reset
3. create shortcut to run.bat and execute shortcut.
Hope this helps,
Hi again Mr.Grofaty
The problem is solved .
The Reason was , the change of the password of a local user during virus update on a server . ( without info )
After that we were having the following message
DSNT408I SQLCODE = -30082, ERROR: CONNECTION FAILED FOR SECURITY REASON 2 (PASSWORD INVALID)
DSNT418I SQLSTATE = 08001 SQLSTATE RETURN CODE
DSNT415I SQLERRP = DSNLTSC1 SQL PROCEDURE DETECTING ERROR
DSNT416I SQLERRD = 9 0 0 -1 0 0 SQL DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION
DSNT416I SQLERRD = X'00000009' X'00000000' X'00000000' X'FFFFFFFF' X'00000000' X'00000000' SQL DIAGNOSTIC
The password is adjusted again and the programm version is updated and it works again
Thanks a lot again for the clue
