    Question Unanswered: exporting excel file to Ms access

    Hi,

    Can anyone help me in VBA codes in MS access how to export at the same time append it to existing MS access table. My excel file and access table have the same data content so its seems like it will be export-copy-paste append to access table.

    What I have is 2 Ms Access mdb file (mdb1 and mdb2)

    mdb1 - contains table with data
    mdb2 - contains forms with code to select excel file and append its data to the mdb1 table.

    I need some codes to put in my mdb2 forms to make this things work.

    Try this . . .

    I just used it today.

    Code:
    DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet acExport, acSpreadsheetTypeExcel2003, "qryBeachCitiesProg", "D:\flw\Access\", True
    Don't know if it will fit your particular situation but try making a few adjustments.

    I think there are many objects that you can either export or import.
