Unanswered: db2 instance autostart on RHEL 4

    Hi,
I'm having problems with autostart of my db2inst1 instance. I have the inittab line:
    fmc:2345:respawn:/opt/IBM/db2/V8.1/bin/db2fmcd
which is needed (I've found it in some old thread),
I need to "su" to instance owner and issue "db2start" command. Should I add this to inittab? I believe there is cleaner solution.
My system is: RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 update 4, db2 8.2 fixpack 14.

    regards,

Look in the Command Reference manual for dasauto to autostart the DB2 Admin server and db2iauto to autostart the instance.

Dumb question I guess, but is there a way to tell what the current status of db2iauto is, on or off, without issuing the command to actually change it?

Do a "db2set -all". If you see "DB2AUTOSTART=YES", then it is turned on.

Yes, I discovered that just a few minutes ago.
    Thank you for replying though.
