Question Unanswered: SQL 2005 Reporting Manager on non-IE browser

Is it true that the Report Manager is not designed to be run on non-IE browsers like Firefox etc?

I can't even view a proper report if it's launched by Firefox......

I wouldn't be surprised at all if firefox isn't supported. In fact I would expect it.

why would ms spend time and energy supporting a competing browser? sql server is complex enough to test as it is.

after some serious thought, i think it's more like a responsibility of Firefox to do something about supporting it? but heck! how many browser users out there are using Report Manager? lol!

guess I have to stick with IE forever liao....

firefox devs are pretty fanatical about supporting only the W3C standard so if the report manager doesn't adhere to it, it won't work in firefox. that's true for any website. very often websites that were coded to IE have some issues when rendered in firefox, particularly if they make heavy use of dhtml.
