    Unanswered: Creating event

I would like to create an event in Oracle that alerts my .net code that something is changed.
I was thinking of creating something like an ora error with a trigger.
Is this the correct way or are there other better ways to notifiy my program that something has been changed?

For System/Database events create a 'DATABASE' trigger.
For Schema change events create 'DDL' trigger.
For DML events create trigger on tables.

Hi thanks for the reply but this is not what I'm looking for.
We do have an programme (programmed in .net) running. In order to display the correct data I need to know when data is changed in the database.
I would like Oracle to create an event like thing so .net knowns that something is changed and that it needs to refresh it screens.
    Is this possible?

    Regards
