    Unanswered: detecting wrapped code

Is there a programatic way of determining whether the source code for a particular object is wrapped or not? I am hoping for some bit I can look up rather than parsing the source.

If USER_SOURCE or a similar view had an WRAPPED column that would be ideal, but it doesn't.

I also looked at dbms_metadata.get_ddl() and friends but they don't return such a bit either.

I am working on 10g but I'd like the answer for other versions as well.

    Thanks!

You could try something like this:
    Code:
    select DECODE(SUM(instr(text,'package body dbms_alert wrapped'))
                 ,0,'NOT Wrapped','Wrapped')
from dba_source where name like 'DBMS_ALERT'
    /

parsing the code is what I wanted to avoid. but if that's the only way then so be it.
