>Your Specific Responsibilities

>. Participate in technical conference calls
>. Qualify technical requirements and activities prior to onsite customer

>. Manage technical aspects of sales cycle & preparation of technical

>. Define customers' business problems and requirements
>. Architect solutions using Customer's products
>. Execute onsite Proof of Values
>. Provide technical pre sales phone support to prospects

>Required Experience
>
>. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or computer science
>complemented by 5 - 7 years of technical pre sales experience with a
>software company
>. Expertise in database design and administration and/or database
>application programming experience in a mainframe environment
>. Experience, familiarity and ability to understand and clearly articulate
>knowledge of various database technologies and enterprise software
>. Confidence and ability to interface professionally with a wide spectrum of
>customers including C level executives
>. Excellent writing, communications, presentation and interpersonal skills
>are essential
>. Polish and professionalism in delivering presentations to executive
>groups, customizing to suit the audience
>. Resilience and ability to handle stressful situations effectively while
>managing several tasks effectively.
>. Demonstrated ability to work independently and partner effectively within
>and outside your immediate team to achieve desired business results
>. Ability to travel extensively (must be able to travel into the United

>Technical Expertise
>
>. Experience with databases such as Oracle (9i or 10gR2), DB2, SQL Server,
>UDB
>. Experience in the management and operation of Oracle databases
>. In depth knowledge of Oracle functions and operations, data dictionaries,
>Redo Logs, Archive Logs, SGA, PGA and background processes
>. Understanding of and experience with UNIX Kernel Architecture (Daemons,
>Threads, Filesystems, Shared Memory) is desired
>. Understanding of clustering principles (shared disks, failure) an asset
>. UNIX experience with one of the following: Sun Solaris, HPUX, AIX or TRU64
>. AS/400 and/or Mainframe experience would be an asset
