Unanswered: 9i install takes too long

    hi people, need some help

    i am installing oracle 9i on an i386 / WindowsXP sp2 machine

the Oracle Universal Installer is currently on the Configuration Tools section which shows:

    Oracle Net Configuration Assistant Succeeded
Oracle Database Configuration Assistant in progress...

    The rest Pending...

its been 4 hrs and the DBCA is not yet finished on what it is doing.

    is there something wrong?

will there be any problem if i just close the Oracle Universal Installer?

    Thanks!

    Jonga

    Most likely something is wrong.

For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.

Hit alt+tab to see if the DBCA is lurking behind a window or two.
