Question Unanswered: Result of 2 columns into 1 (No concatenation)

I'd like to get in a select ONE column with the data of 2 different's name columns of 2 differents table.(tab1.col1 et tab2.col2)
These columns got the same type (DATETIME)

    In other words:
In a select, I want (for examples) the 50 records of col1 and the 50 records of the col2 in ONE column (so 100 records)

For performance I don't wanna use UNION.

For performance you'll rather use a union than an or in queries

Where possible, rather use a union all as it doesn't require a worktable to perform a sort to eliminate duplicates.
