BI Reporting Manager - Microsoft Technologies - Bellevue, WA
Business Intelligence Reporting Manager needed for rapidly growing Internet company in Bellevue, Washington. The person in this position will own business intelligence solutions and drive the development of the reporting framework. Your background creating reporting systems from concept to roll-out will provide an excellent foundation for this position.
This is a high impact position. The successful individual in this role will enjoy visibility throughout the organization and will be seen as the valued owner of the companys reporting services.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
Own and create the visibility layer for the company's reporting framework
Manage corporate reporting environment including designing corporate reporting framework
Procure and implement adequate solutions to construct and deliver a useful visibility layer in OLAP and OLTP environments
Create department-specific dashboards that allow business unit managers to track key metrics and performance versus goals in real time
Create core business analytic reports for Management, Finance, Customer Service, Marketing, Merchandising and Fulfillment departments which will be used on a daily basis to monitor business performance
Lead web-based analytics reporting efforts to track and summarize key property metrics
Create automated reporting tools to accurately track metrics in real time
Deliver ad-hoc query results to various business units
Required Skills & Attributes:
BS in Computer Science or related discipline
5+ years related experience
2+ years experience with reporting delivery solutions, preferably using MS Reporting Services and MS Analysis Services
2+ years experience with SQL Server 2005 and T-SQL
Ability to gather requirements, translate them into specifications, implement solutions, document systems and train / mentor end users
Experience with push and pull reporting including implementing web-based solutions and various delivery mechanisms such as e-mail
Ability to write stored procedures, schedule jobs
Experience with ETL; ideally with DTS/SSIS
Experience mining and analyzing data; ability to investigate data anomalies
Strong Excel & pivot tables experience
Ability to communicate and effectively resolve issues between diverse groups (functional users, project team members, IT resources, accounting and upper management)
Must be self-driven, organized and creative
Experience with multidimensional expressions (MDX)
Knowledge of click stream technologies and web-based advertising
Experience with statistical analysis
