    Unanswered: hardware for running oracle

    Hi all,

    What type of servers, processers etc would be best suited to running an ebay type site using oracle?

    Unfortunally you are not looking at a single machine (that would be one honking machine), but thousands of linux machines running the service. What type of load are you looking at?
